There’s no way I’m going down, I don’t go down for nobody…
March 3, 2009 I’d never heard of “Raging Bull” before, so after watching it I did some quick research and found out that it was actually a real story. Wow, that’s tragic.
The movie with all the movie aspects was great…I turned to my friend at one point and said “Wow De Niro must be really old if this was filmed in like, the 40s.” She laughed at me, because I couldn’t be more wrong. The was filmed in the 80s, so that speaks wonders for how convincing the movie was for an time period piece. 1) It was in black and white, and 2) it had establishment shots around NYC that made it seem like we were really back in the 1940s. Kudos to the team.
I thought it was very well acted and the movie was tragic, what got him championships in the ring left him alone in life. His paranoia and constant questioning really screwed him over in the end.
One part of the movie was a little confusing, the first wife. They have a fight and all of a sudden he’s married to Vickie. Did she leave him? Then she’s one of the unsung hero’s of the movie who left La Motta and got out of his vicious cycle.
Loved it. However, I’ll always think of Joe Pesci as the bad guy in Home Alone.
The end.
oh my god, amanda that was a great movie review. i LOVED it! And most importantly, your brilliant idea to embed the trailer is fantastic!
Do you hate me?
